Head of Food and Beverage - Reputable 4* Hotel - Cape Town

Kendrick Recruitment is looking for a dynamic and strong Head of F&B for a Reputable 4* hotel situated at the V&A Hotel: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES Ensure that all company polici es, procedures and SOPs are adhered to Attend HOD and any other meetings as required Ensure effective communicati on through attending meetings and imparting information at regularly held staff meetings Performance appraisals/ re views Prepare, control and submit budgets Plan/ direct and control the department, roster staff Supervise staff effectively Identify training needs and implement train ing when required Effective control of sales and all bev erage stock by working closely with F&B Controller Kno ws menu items, daily specials and seasonal foods and ensures that departments are aware too Ensure that uniform sta ndards are adhered to Liaise with kitchen regarding chan ges and passes info to the F&B staff Ensures tables are s et in accordance with company standards Maintain excelle nt and courteous relationships with guests and ensure that g uest complaints/ requests are managed timeously Ensure that bills are correctly compiled and presented to guests Exhibits good personal deportment, appearance and attitude in a manner that will enhance guest experience and satisf action Completes daily void reports, recording and accoun ting for all negative postings for reporting Responsib le for F&B cost percentage figures Report any maintenance defects to the Maintenance Department Maintain highest standard of hygiene within the property Drive and own th e consistent implementation of restaurant concept and food offering Design brand relevant food experiences and spec ial events that can be marketed to drive revenue Head C hef, Restaurant Managers and Cost Controller report directly to F&B Manager Lead team and concept to ensure memora ble guest experience Leadership of front of house team to ensure that: ØTraining is given – SOPs, menus and service ØTeam is purposeful and motivated ØA high performance, respectful culture is created ØCommunication within team is effective ØFeedback occurs regularly ØEnsure that sta ff is well groomed Draft and collate relevant daily, wee kly and monthly reporting Any other adhoc duties that may be required CORE COMPETENCIES: Clear communication skil ls – written and verbal Strategic and creative restaurant o peration skills Excellent attention to detail, able to us e initiative and interpersonal skills Highly responsible , reliable, proactive and trustworthy Presentable, well-s poken and professional individual Act in good faith & in the best interest of the Company at all times High guest centric approach to ensure overall customer service Posi tive attitude, Team player, Leader Must be able to work shifts, weekends and holidays If this you are ready for your next career move and this sounds like you, send me your resume today!
